I. Intake Team

Our Intake Team evaluates the merits of every new SSDI/SSI case. We consider information about your health problems and how they affect your ability to work. We know that everyone has a unique story to tell, and so we carefully listen to the details you share. We recognize that it may be your first time contacting a lawyer, and so we caringly take the time to understand your situation. Finally, we realize that the decision to pursue disability benefits can be daunting, so we helpfully explain the process in plain terms.

The evaluation can be done over the telephone or in person at one of our convenient office locations around Chicagoland. Call today to discuss your situation or to schedule an appointment to meet with one of our experienced attorneys.

The evaluation is always free, and there are no upfront costs for our representation. The attorney fee - generally 25% of any back-pay awarded - gets paid only if we are successful.

II. Case Management Team

Our Case Management Team expertly handles cases through the heart of the process. Each client has an attorney and a paralegal dedicated to his or her claim. On behalf of each client, the attorney and paralegal work to monitor claim status, file appeals, obtain medical records, submit evidence and arguments, and execute the strategy for getting the claim approved.

Since clients often have questions about their claims, our Case Management Team is positioned and available to offer information and answers. Also, since many clients' circumstances change with time, our Case Management Team is standing by to give attention to any important developments.

We strongly believe that our clients deserve our personal and timely attention. Therefore, calls are handled courteously and messages are returned promptly. The Case Management Team's motto: When our clients need us, we must be there for them.

III. Hearings Team

Nash Disability Law attorneys have successfully represented clients at thousands of SSDI/SSI hearings. Every hearing is held before an administrative law judge or "ALJ." The hearing may include a medical expert called by the judge to testify regarding the severity of a claimant’s health problems and the related work-related limitations. The hearing may also include a vocational expert called to testify regarding the existence of jobs that a claimant can perform despite his or her limitations. The attorney may present the case for disability, cite supportive evidence and law, solicit client testimony, cross-examine the medical and/or the vocational expert, and persuade the judge to issue a favorable decision.

Prior to the hearing, the attorney may prepare client testimony, obtain additional evidence, and submit detailed memoranda setting forth the theory of disability.

Every disability claimant is encouraged to exercise his or her right to be represented before a judge. Having representation at the hearing can make the difference between winning and losing. When winning is so important, have an experienced attorney at your side.

IV. Benefits Team

Our Benefits Team knows that no one can pay a stack of bills with a written decision - even a favorable decision. That’s why we work to ensure that Social Security makes a timely and accurate award of due benefits to our clients. Our work is not done until our clients receive all the money they're entitled to.

The Benefits Team also takes time to explain to our clients what a favorable decision means in terms of dates of entitlement, retroactive pay, and medical coverage.

Finally, the Benefits Team monitors the payment of our fee - generally 25% of the back-pay awarded - which we receive directly from Social Security. The only payment we receive directly from our approved clients is reimbursement for costs, such as out-of-pocket expenses. Again, if we are not successful in a case, then we do not collect a penny from anyone for our work.

Our team structure – Intake Team, Case Management Team, Hearings Team, Benefits Team – by design allows us to deliver the best service and results to our clients. Let us work for you.
